Lung CT Synthesis Using GANs with Conditional Normalization on Registered Ultrashort Echo-Time MRI
IEEE International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging, 2023In clinical practice, the modality of choice for lung diagnosis is usually computed tomography (CT), which exposes patients to ionizing radiations and could potentially affect patients’ health.

Imaging lung water redistribution using 0.55T ultrashort echo time MRI
ISMRM Annual Meeting, 2023Quantification of changes in lung water using MRI may provide clinical value in early diagnosis of heart failure. In this study, we demonstrate the ability of our 3D free-breathing spiral ultrashort-TE sequence to quantify and capture changes in lung water using a high-performance 0.55T MRI system.

CT substitute derived from MRI sequences with ultrashort echo time
Medical Physics, 2011Methods for deriving computed tomography (CT) equivalent information from MRI are needed for attenuation correction in PET/MRI applications, as well as for patient positioning and dose planning in MRI based radiation therapy workflows. This study presents a method for generating a drop in substitute for a CT image from a set of magnetic resonance (MR ...

Ultrashort echo time (UTE) MRI of the spine in thalassaemia
The British Journal of Radiology, 2004Back pain is common in adult patients with homozygous thalassaemia, and degenerative disc disease is increasingly recognised as a cause. Ultrashort echo time (UTE) pulse sequences, which are sensitive to the presence of short T(2) relaxation components in tissue produced by iron deposition and other processes, were used to examine the lower thoracic ...

Ultrashort echo time (UTE) has been shown to improve lung MRI quality in three dimensions. The evaluation of 3D‐UTE stack‐of‐spirals VIBE (3D‐USV) sequence for parenchymal diseases and a comparison of performance with that of a spherical mode of ...

Reproducibility of non-contrast enhanced multi breath-hold ultrashort echo time functional lung MRI
Magnetic Resonance Imaging, 2023To evaluate the intraindividual reproducibility of functional lung imaging using non-contrast enhanced multi breath-hold 3D-UTE MRI.Ten healthy volunteers underwent non-contrast enhanced 3D-UTE MRI at three time points for same-day and different-day measurements employing a stack-of-spirals trajectory at 3 T.
