Flexible piezoelectric micro ultrasonic transducer array integrated on various flexible substrates
Sensors and Actuators A: Physical, 2021Flexible ultrasonic transducers have attracted much attention in industrial and biomedical applications. However, most of them are fabricated based on a single substrate by complex micromachining techniques.

Automatic ultrasonic robotic array [PDF]
A novel, autonomous reconfigurable ultrasonic phased array inspection robot for non-destructive evaluation (NDE) is presented. The robotic system significantly will reduce manual labor over current inspection regimes, as well as enabling inspection of inaccessible/hazardous areas such as those found in the nuclear and petrochemical industries.

Ultrasonic array scanning of the kidney
Ultrasound in Medicine & Biology, 1974Abstract An ultrasonic scanning system has been devised, utilizing an array of six plane transducers, each used as a separate transmitter-receiver. The transducers were arranged in a concave assembly so that their beams intersected at a point equidistant from each face.

The subject of multielement ultrasonic transducers is presented, with emphasis on describing the ultrasonic transducer design techniques and time-delay pulsing schedules used to achieve real-time imaging, beam steering, and beam focusing. Transducer design techniques make use of a first-order scattering theory in fluids, which model quite nicely many ...

Ultrasonic transducers and arrays
IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Magazine, 1996Ultrasonic imaging is one of the most important and still growing diagnostic tools in use today. To better understand transducer/array performance and some of the factors that prevent ultrasonic imagers from reaching higher resolution, this article reviews past achievements and current developments in the technology, including piezoelectric materials ...

Investigation of ultrasonic array
Ultrasound, 2010This paper explores the data collection method for the ultrasonic array which can drastically decrease the scanning time, because the minimum excitation-reception sequences were used for reconstruction of the coordinates of the defects. The described data collection and processing method do not use classical phased array possibilities such as beam ...

Ultrasonic and phased-array inspection in titanium-based alloys: A review
Proceedings of the Institution of mechanical engineers. Part E, journal of process mechanical engineering, 2022Ultrasonic testing procedures are among the most extensively used techniques in non-destructive testing and non-destructive evaluation systems. Meanwhile, phased array inspection or phased-array ultrasonic testing techniques as a well-known type of ...
