Boosting the application of ultrasonic arrays
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2002The strategy currently pursued at IZFP to open a wider field of applications for ultrasonic arrays is described. A bundle of measures is performed to reduce the costs and at the same time to improve the capabilities and the reliability of ultrasonic array systems.

Proceedings of the IEEE, 1979An analysis is presented of the two general types of arrays-the direct imaging array and the phased array. These are analyzed over three levels of approximation: geometric optics, steady-state sinusoidal diffraction, and wide-band diffraction. Systems are studied which provide electronic deflection and focusing.
