An Investigation on Ultrasonic Atomization
The characteristics and mechanisms of ultrasonic atomization have been studied, using atomizers of the type applicable to practical oil burners. As a result, it has been found that the drop-size distribution is closely approximated by the Nukiyama-Tanasawa's distribution function, Eq. (1), when α=12 and β=1.

The Influence of Acoustic Field Induced by HRT on Oscillation Behavior of a Single Droplet
This paper presents an experimental and theoretical study on the effects of an acoustic field induced by Hartmann Resonance Tube (HRT) on droplet deformation behavior. The characteristics of the acoustic field generated by HRT are investigated.

Ultrasonic atomization: A mechanism of tissue fractionation
High intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) can be used to atomize liquid by creating a fountain on the surface exposed to air. The mechanism of atomization can be most accurately described by the cavitation-wave hypothesis wherein a combination of capillary waves excited on the liquid surface with cavitation beneath the surface produces a fine spray ...

Investigation of electrostatic-assisted ultrasonic atomization and spraying
Abstract Ultrasonic atomization technology has been widely used in industry in recent years due to its higher atomization efficiency. This paper proposes a method of electrostatic-assisted ultrasonic atomization spraying and designs a special ultrasonic power supply that can directly introduce high-voltage static electricity onto the surface of
