Arhgef1 Deletion Disrupts Early Cortical Neurogenesis via PAK1 Overactivation and Causes Motor Dysfunction in Adulthood

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ARHGEF1 plays a pivotal role in both embryonic cortical neurogenesis and adult motor function. During early development, it governs genesis of deep‐layer cortical neurons by negatively regulating RAC1/CDC42‐PAK1‐Cofilin signaling. In adulthood, ARHGEF1 is important for the maintenance of neuronal morphology and activity in the motor cortex, ensuring ...

Enhancing Surface Icephobic Performance via Spontaneous Fracture Characteristics of Ice Crystals Regulated by Structural Scale Under Shear Flow Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Aerodynamic shear induces spontaneous ice fracture and detachment on hydrophobic surfaces, governed by the interplay between initial ice‐crystal size, growth orientation, and interfacial adhesion. Unexpectedly, microstructural anchoring on superhydrophobic surfaces suppresses ice shedding.

Atomic Scale Control of Thermal Conductivity in LaMnO3/SrMnO3 Superlattices

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Interface‐dominated cross‐plane thermal transport in [(LaMnO3)m/(SrMnO3)n]10 superlattices can be controlled by the octahedral rotation/tilt angle φOOR of the MnO6 octahedra, which as well is controlled by the “m/n” ratio. ABSTRACT We report atomic scale structure and phonon thermal transport in (LaMnO3)m/(SrMnO3)n/SrTiO3(100) superlattices (LMO/SMO ...

Reliable Ru‐Based CBRAM Synapses for Energy‐Efficient Neuromorphic Computing: Suppressing Filament Overgrowth and Read Noise via Ru‐Pt Alloy and AlOx Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Ru–Pt alloying suppresses filament overgrowth and an AlOx switching layer enhances reliable switching, hopping transport enables conductance tuning via hopping distance modulation, Ru7Pt3/AlOx/Pt device yields 16 low‐noise conductance states, a 2–3‐fold improvement over prior Ru‐based CBRAM, and CSNN inference on FMNIST reaches 81% accuracy with 103 ...

Intrinsic Mechanical Parameters and their Characterization in Solid‐State Lithium Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 11, March 18, 2025.
This review focuses on the intrinsic mechanical parameters and their associated characterization in solid‐state batteries. The physical significance of mechanics parameters is introduced with exhaustive classifications by elastic, plastic deformations and fracture in bulk, adhesion, friction at interfaces, and mechanical fatigue in cells ...
