Effect of the pulse trajectory on ultrasonic fluid velocity measurement [PDF]
In a general situation a non-uniform velocity field gives rise to a shift of the otherwise straight acoustic pulse trajectory between the transmitter and receiver transducers of a sonic anemometer. The aim of this paper is to determine the effects of trajectory shifts on the velocity as measured by the sonic anemometer.

Methodology for Determining the Correct Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity in Concrete
Quite often, concrete strength parameters must be determined in the shortest possible time. Due to the strong correlation between concrete’s mechanical and acoustic properties, ultrasonic devices can be used for this purpose. However, the ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV) is influenced by a variety of factors, including the curing and exploitation ...

Mathematical model for predicting the ultrasonic pulse velocity of concrete
AbstractThis paper proposes a mathematical model approach to predict the Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity (UPV) of concrete. This paper presents the formulation, calibration, evaluation, and validation of the proposed UPV model. An experimental program was developed to calibrate and evaluate the proposed model.
