Lorentz Force Electrical Impedance Tomography
This article describes a method called Lorentz Force Electrical Impedance Tomography. The electrical conductivity of biological tissues can be measured through their sonication in a magnetic field: the vibration of the tissues inside the field induces an

Multi-objective Optimization and Stochastic Analysis in Focused Ultrasonic Therapy Simulation
We present new results in stochastic multi-objective optimization applied to focused ultrasonic therapy planning. This type of non-invasive therapy uses focused ultrasound for the destruction of tumor cells and magnetic resonance tomography for ...

Focused ultrasound and Alzheimer’s disease A systematic review
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) affects millions of people, however, there is still no effective treatment. The use of focused ultrasound with microbubbles (FUS-MB) for the opening of the blood-brain barrier has been recently studied and may become a promising ...

Independent trapping and manipulation of microparticles using dexterous acoustic tweezers [PDF]
An electronically controlled acoustic tweezer was used to demonstrate two acoustic manipulation phenomena: superposition of Bessel functions to allow independent manipulation of multiple particles and the use of higher-order Bessel functions to trap ...

This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.
