Flexible ultrasonic transducers

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, 2006
Flexible ultrasonic transducers (UTs) consisting of a metal foil, a piezoelectric ceramic film, and a top electrode have been developed. The flexibility is realized owing to the porosity of piezoelectric film and the thinness of metal foil. In this paper, the stainless steel (SS), lead-zirconate-titanate (PZT)/PZT composite and silver paste were chosen

Measurement of a 3D Ultrasonic Wavefield Using Pulsed Laser Holographic Microscopy for Ultrasonic Nondestructive Evaluation

open access: yesSensors, 2018
In ultrasonic array imaging, 3D ultrasonic wavefields are normally recorded by an ultrasonic piezo array transducer. Its performance is limited by the configuration and size of the array transducer.

Two-Dimensional Photoacoustic/Ultrasonic Endoscopic Imaging Based on a Line-Focused Transducer

open access: yesFrontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology, 2022
Existing acoustic-resolution photoacoustic/ultrasonic endoscopy (PA/USE) generally employs a point-focused transducer for ultrasound detection, which is only sensitive in its focal region, thus the lateral resolution and sensitivity drop dramatically ...

Development and Investigation of High-Temperature Ultrasonic Measurement Transducers Resistant to Multiple Heating–Cooling Cycles

open access: yesSensors, 2023
Usually for non-destructive testing at high temperatures, ultrasonic transducers made of PZT and silver electrodes are used, but this could lead to damage to or malfunction of the ultrasonic transducer due to poor adhesion between PZT and silver ...

Circulating microRNA signatures of cachexia and cancer in Canis familiaris as a comparative oncology model for human disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating microRNAs as biomarkers of cachexia and sex‐specific cancer in senior dogs. In 25 client‐owned dogs, four circulating miRNAs (miR‐15a, miR‐15b, miR‐16, miR‐140) were downregulated in cachexia, with miR‐16 the strongest individual biomarker (AUC = 0.899).
