Ultrasonic transducer, method for manufacturing ultrasonic transducer, and ultrasonic flowmeter
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2007It is an object of the present invention to provide an ultrasonic transducer, which is so configured as to reduce the variations in characteristics, thereby to enable the stabilization of the precision, as well as to enable the improvement of the durability, and the like, a method for manufacturing the ultrasonic transducer, and an ultrasonic flowmeter.

Split-mode ultrasonic transducer
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2013A split-mode ultrasonic transducer is investigated in both theory and experiment. This transducer is a two-dimensional structure of periodically poled domains in a ferroelectric wafer with free surfaces. The acoustic vibrations are excited by a radio frequency electric current applied along the length of the wafer, which allows the basal-plane surfaces

Ultrasonic Aspiration-Biopsy Transducer
Radiology, 1973A specially designed ultrasonic aspiration-biopsy transducer (UABT) containing a central lumen was used as an aid in the aspiration of fluid-containing structures and the biopsy of solid tissue. Ultrasound provided an estimate of the subcutaneous depth of the tissues of interest, and, in the case of cystic masses, allowed an estimate of the volume of ...

A silicon electrostatic ultrasonic transducer
IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, 1989An electric ultrasonic transducer is developed by using a silicon IC process. Design considerations are first presented to obtain high sensitivity and the desired frequency responses in air. The measured transmitter sensitivity is 19.1 dB (0 dB=1 mubar/V) at a point 50 cm away from the devices, when the devices are operated at 150 kHz.

Design of ultrasonic wedge transducer
Ultrasonics, 2005Cones and wedges inserted between an ultrasonic transducer and the specimen provide the transducer (circular or rectangular shape) with enhanced capability for point or line contact with the specimen. Such an arrangement is useful in that the transducer can be used for transmitting to and receiving from a point (or line) source, and that it can ...

Ultrasonic transducers using PVDF
Ferroelectrics, 1991In a research program on ultrasonic transducers. PVDF has been used for structures needing thinness, flexibility and low acoustic impedance. The specific applications described include focused conical transducers for NDT, array transducers for medical holographic B-scan imaging and transmitters/ receivers for zetapotential measurements in colloidal ...
