Utility of Color Doppler Ultrasonography Predicting TIPS Dysfunction
The American Journal of Gastroenterology, 2005Color Doppler ultrasonography (CDUS) has been proposed as an alternative to portal pressure gradient (PPG) measurement to detect transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) dysfunction but with inconsistent results. This study aimed at developing and validating CDUS criteria to assess TIPS dysfunction.A total of 117 consecutive follow-up ...

Prenatal diagnosis of sirenomelus with color Doppler ultrasonography
American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1994Sirenomelus is an invariably lethal congenital anomaly characterized by complete or nearly complete fusion of the lower extremities that occurs in 1 of 60,000 births. In about 50% of cases this condition cannot be diagnosed prenatally because of the associated oligohydramnios that precludes a detailed examination of the fetus.

Investigation of placental circulations by color Doppler ultrasonography
American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1991The placental circulations of 25 normal and five complicated pregnancies were studied by color Doppler ultrasonography. Flow velocity waveforms were obtained in all 30 pregnancies and could discriminate between fetal and maternal intraplacental blood flow.

Color Doppler Ultrasonography in Patients with Subacute Thyroiditis
Thyroid, 1999We studied the utility of color Doppler ultrasonography in patients with subacute thyroiditis. Eighteen patients with subacute thyroiditis (SAT) with painful goiter and thyrotoxicosis underwent color Doppler ultrasonography during the acute and recovery stages of the disease.

Application of color Doppler ultrasonography to ulcerative colitis
Journal of Medical Ultrasonics, 2003We used color Doppler ultrasonography (US) to evaluate bowel wall thickening in ulcerative colitis and to determine the value of this modality in this application. Twelve patients (6 men and 6 women) with ulcerative colitis underwent both gray-scale and color Doppler US.

Trans-sellar Color Doppler Ultrasonography during Transsphenoidal Surgery
Neurosurgery, 1998To improve the safety and efficacy of transsphenoidal pituitary adenoma surgery, we investigated transsphenoidal intraoperative color Doppler ultrasonography using a biplane transducer system. We studied 23 patients with pituitary adenomas (18 patients with macroadenomas and 5 patients with microadenomas) who underwent transsphenoidal surgery.

Pediatric Abdominal Applications of Color Doppler Ultrasonography
Ultrasound Quarterly, 2002Color Doppler ultrasonography (US) is a valuable imaging method because of the important information it provides with respect to organ perfusion, vessel patency, and tumor characterization. In addition, it is a noninvasive technique that does not use ionizing radiation. This review summarizes current applications of color Doppler US in the diagnosis of

Diagnosis of Rectal Varices via Color Doppler Ultrasonography
The American Journal of Gastroenterology, 2007There has been no report on the hemodynamic evaluation of rectal varices by percutaneous color Doppler ultrasonography. Here, we report the usefulness of color Doppler ultrasonography for this purpose.Color Doppler ultrasonography was performed in 44 patients: 31 patients with portal hypertension, 7 with liver cirrhosis (LC) without portal hypertension,

[Color Doppler ultrasonography in urology].
Progres en urologie : journal de l'Association francaise d'urologie et de la Societe francaise d'urologie, 1995Due to the development of the duplex mode, combining ultrasound images with Doppler recording, and especially the development of flow colour coding. Doppler is now increasingly used to investigate the kidney and male genital tract. It is now the technique of choice in the initial diagnosis of certain renal diseases: primary renal vein thrombosis ...

Recent advances of ultrasound imaging have made possible to depict various diseases and conditions of the pancreas. Color/power Doppler ultrasonography, endoscopic ultrasonography, and intraductal ultrasonography are feasible to show vascular abnormalities, differentiate the solid and cystic tumors, decide tumor extent, and help to perform ...
