Application of colour Doppler and three-dimensional (3D) ultrasonography for visualization of mammary gland structures in goats

Small Ruminant Research, 2018
Abstract The aim of the present study was to evaluate the potential of colour Doppler and three-dimensional ultrasound for visualization of mammary gland structures in goats. Ten Bulgarian white milk goats, aged from 2 to 4 years, weighing 48–54 kg were used.

Lateralisation and depth of the internal mammary chain determined by scintigraphy and by ultrasonography: a comparative study in 124 primary breast cancer patients

Radiotherapy and Oncology, 2002
In 124 primary breast cancer patients the maximum values of the lateralisation of the internal mammary chain (IMC) and their corresponding depths could be determined by scintigraphy and ultrasonography in 77% and 85% of the cases, respectively. With respect to the lateralisation it appeared that these values were uncorrelated between the two methods ...

[Evaluation of the internal mammary nodes by lymphoscintigraphy and ultrasonography in patients with breast cancer].

Nihon Igaku Hoshasen Gakkai zasshi. Nippon acta radiologica, 1992
The efficacy of lymphoscintigraphy and ultrasonography was evaluated in the detection of internal mammary lymph node (IMN) metastases in patients with breast cancer. On histological examination of IMN, 10 patients had metastases (positive group) and 47 did not (negative group).

Preoperative Duplex Ultrasonography of the Internal Mammary Artery and Saphenous Vein in Young Persons and Patients with Atherosclerosis

1995
In patients who undergo coronary artery bypass surgery, the internal mammary artery (IMA) is considered to be the bypass conduit of choice. Superior long-term patency rates have been reported for IMA grafts compared with saphenous vein grafts.

Ultrasonography of the mammary gland in ruminants

2012
Fast and accurate diagnostics and prognosis are very important with regard to mammary gland illnesses in ruminants due to the negative economic impact of the loss of milk productivity. This necessitates the usage of modern, accurate and quick methods for mammary gland examination, such as ultrasonography.

ULTRASONOGRAPHY IN THE MORPHOPHYSIOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT OF THE BOVINE MAMMARY GLAND: DIAGNOSTIC FOUNDATIONS FOR DAIRY FARMING

Brazilian dairy agribusiness occupies a prominent global position, with an annual output exceeding 34 billion litres. However, mastitis and other mammary disorders represent severe economic obstacles, impacting productivity and animal welfare. The aim of this work is to demonstrate the applicability of ultrasonography in the morphophysiological ...

[Preoperative diagnosis of internal mammary node metastases in patients with breast cancer by using ultrasonography].

Nihon Geka Gakkai zasshi, 1992
US findings of 81 patients with breast cancer were analyzed respectively to evaluate the usefulness of US in the preoperative diagnosis of internal mammary mode metastases. The internal mammary area (I.M.A.) in which internal mammary nodes lie was shown as a hypoechoic stripe in a sagittal scan along the sternum and as a triangular or spindle-shaped ...

Angiogenesis Research in Mouse Mammary Cancer Based on Contrast-enhanced Ultrasonography: Exploratory Study.

Academic radiology, 2019
The objective of this study was to investigate the contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) characteristics of tumor angiogenesis in mouse mammary cancer.Twenty-four mice were examined with ultrasound and CEUS at 2-12 days after implantation. Four to five mice were assessed daily, and one to three mice were then sacrificed for histology.

[Diagnosis of ductal carcinoma in situ with interruption of the anterior border of the mammary gland by ultrasonography-a case report].

Gan to kagaku ryoho. Cancer & chemotherapy, 2014
We report a case of ductal carcinoma in situ( DCIS) with interruption of the anterior border of the mammary gland by ultrasonography. The patient was a 41-year-old woman. The patient was identified by a focal asymmetric density on her left breast by screening mammography.

[Visualization of native internal mammary arteries and aorto-coronary graft by means of high resolution color Doppler ultrasonography].

Cardiologia (Rome, Italy), 1998
The internal mammary artery is routinely used for coronary artery bypass grafting because of its optimal long-term patency profile. This vessel can be imaged by angiography, but only the proximal tract at the origin from the succlavian artery can be imaged by conventional echography. The aim of our study was to visualize the intrathoracic course of the
