Musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSUS) is an important modality in evaluating shoulder disease. Following a baseline shoulder conventional radiographic examination, MSUS can be used to screen the painful shoulder. It is accurate in diagnosing full- and partial-thickness tears of the rotator cuff.
