Ultrasound imaging in reproductive medicine
One in six couples seeks help for infertility during their reproductive years. Subfertility investigations should be performed without delays (because female fertility decreases with age) and should be as noninvasive as possible.

Powder Optimization Strategies for Binder Jetting Printing of BaTiO3 and Ba0,6Sr0,4TiO3 Ceramics
Powder optimization is investigated to enable binder jetting of BaTiO3 and Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3 ferroelectric ceramics. The antagonistic relationship between flowability and binder compatibility is addressed through binder impregnation of granulated powders and fumed silica addition to fine powders.

The frequency-dependent directivity of a planar Fabry-Perot polymer film ultrasound sensor
A model of the frequency-dependent directivity of a planar, optically-addressed, Fabry-Perot (FP), polymer film ultrasound sensor is described and validated against experimental directivity measurements made over a frequency range of 1 to 15 MHz and ...

New features on yttria‐stabilized zirconia after exposure at 1500°C: Newly discovered pyramidal structures on an old material. After exposure at 1550°C on the cross section of YSZ new features, namely pyramidal structures are discovered. These structures grow with time, increase in numbers, appear as singularities, are often arranged in strings, and ...

Super-Resolution Ultrasound Imaging in Vivo with Transient Laser-Activated Nanodroplets
We have developed a method for super-resolution ultrasound imaging, which relies on a new class of blinking nanometer-size contrast agents: laser-activated nanodroplets (LANDs). The LANDs can be repeatedly optically triggered to undergo vaporization; the

Development of High Frequency Annular Array with a Novel Structure for Medical Imaging
High frequency annular arrays offer a number of advantages in medical imaging. A novel 2mm diameter, 7-element, 40MHz array using equal width elements, instead of the more conventional equal area ones, has been designed and evaluated.

Identified through the use of statistical design of experiments and metallographic investigation, this study exposes the stochastic origins of intergranular cracks in blown powder laser beam directed energy deposition additive manufacturing of pure molybdenum. It further demonstrates a successful crack mitigation approach with direct correlation to the
