Recursive ultrasound imaging [PDF]
Presents a new imaging method, applicable for both 2D and 3D imaging. It is based on Synthetic Transmit Aperture Focusing, but unlike previous approaches a new frame is created after every pulse emission. The elements from a linear transducer array emit pulses one after another. The same transducer element is used after N/sub xmt/ emissions.

Introduction to artificial intelligence in ultrasound imaging in obstetrics and gynecology
Artificial intelligence (AI) uses data and algorithms to aim to draw conclusions that are as good as, or even better than, those drawn by humans. AI is already part of our daily life; it is behind face recognition technology, speech recognition in ...

Deep-tissue focal fluorescence imaging with digitally time-reversed ultrasound-encoded light. [PDF]
Fluorescence imaging is one of the most important research tools in biomedical sciences. However, scattering of light severely impedes imaging of thick biological samples beyond the ballistic regime.
