A Barium Marking Method Using an Ultrathin Bronchoscope With Virtual Bronchoscopic Navigation
Respirology, 2004Abstract: CT scanning in a 77‐year‐old woman showed a ground‐glass opacity pattern shadow (9 × 7 mm) in the right lower lobe. To allow identification of the location of the lesion during thoracoscopic surgery, preoperative barium marking was performed using an ultrathin bronchoscope and virtual bronchoscopic navigation.

Clinical Applications of Ultrathin Flexible Bronchoscopes
Pediatric Pulmonology, 1985AbstractThree different models of ultrathin flexible fiberoptic bronchoscopes (1.8, 2.3, and 2.7 mm in diameter) were used in 190 examinations of pediatric patients. These instruments facilitate clinical procedures and evaluations that are difficult if not impossible with previous bronchoscopes. New applications include endoscopic transnasal intubation

Assessment of an Ultrathin Bronchoscope That Allows Cytodiagnosis of Small Airways
Chest, 1994We developed a new type of bronchoscope (BF-2.7T) and cytology brush (BC-0.7T) that permit collection of pulmonary cells during direct observation of the small airways. This kind of cell collection has been previously impossible. With our cytology brush, 3.58 +/- 2.76 x 10(4) cells were collected from small airways. The rate of living cells was 33.13 +/

Factors Related to Diagnostic Sensitivity Using an Ultrathin Bronchoscope Under CT Guidance
Chest, 2007We investigated factors related to the diagnostic sensitivity of CT-guided transbronchial biopsy (TBB) using an ultrathin bronchoscope and virtual bronchoscopy (VB) navigation for small peripheral pulmonary lesions. We have performed this procedure on 83 patients with 85 small peripheral pulmonary lesions (< 20 mm in diameter).

Respiratory Investigation
Transbronchial biopsy using an ultrathin bronchoscope (UTB) has a high diagnostic yield for peripheral pulmonary lesions (PPLs). When combined with peripheral transbronchial needle aspiration (pTBNA), it improves the diagnostic yield of "adjacent to" radial endobronchial ultrasonography (rEBUS) findings.

Ultrathin Bronchoscopic Cryobiopsy of Peripheral Pulmonary Lesions
B110. THE MIDAS TOUCH INTERVENTIONAL PULMONOLOGY IN THORACIC ONCOLOGY, 2022AbstractBackground and ObjectiveUltrathin bronchoscopy aids in the diagnosis of peripheral pulmonary lesions. However, both the working channel and the specimens are small. A 1.1‐mm ultrathin cryoprobe that can enter the working channel of the ultrathin bronchoscope is now available, which may overcome the limitations of small specimen size. The aim of

Utility of ultrathin bronchoscope in a bronchoscopy unit
Interventional pulmonology, 2020Introductions and Methods: the ultrathin bronchoscope (UB) is a tool that has proven its usefulness in the diagnosis of distal lung lesions. Descriptive analysis of the bronchoscopic explorations performed with UB due to suspected neoplasm between October 2016 and November 2019 Results: we performed 67 procedures, 6 (9%) of them in the operating room (

Applications of an Ultrathin Flexible Bronchoscope for Neonatal and Pediatric Airway Problems
Chest, 1986A new 2.7 mm flexible fiberoptic bronchoscope with a directable tip was used to evaluate potential airway problems in 73 pediatric patients. Forty-eight laryngoscopies and 47 bronchoscopies were performed over an 18-month period. Persistent stridor was the most common indication for laryngoscopy; persistent wheezing, the most common indication for ...
