A Comprehensive Study of Piezoelectricity in Chitosan Films. [PDF]
This work explores the correlation between crystallinity and piezoelectricity in solution‐cast chitosan films with respect to their fabrication process, giving a final recipe allowing to reach a d33 = 27 pm V−1, nearly twice as high as those previously reported in the literature.

Preventive Effect of Upland Pigmented Potatoes Against LPS-Induced Inflammation in THP-1 Macrophages. [PDF]
The anti‐inflammatory activity of extracts from three commercial potato varieties cultivated upland was investigated on THP‐1 macrophages insulted with LPS. While the chlorogenic acid (CGA)‐rich extract from Kennebec reduced inflammation only at supraphysiological doses, carotenoid‐rich Desirèe and anthocyanin (ACN)‐rich Bleuet decreased TNF‐α, IL‐1β ...

ABSTRACT During the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, there was no statutory difference between cartography, drawing and painting. These activities were performed then by craftsmen who were part of a vast group under the umbrella of ‘mechanical arts’ and fell under the ‘artifex’ category. Artifex were experts in any particular art, whether a craftsman,

Recent Advances in Life Cycle Assessment of Methane Pyrolysis for Sustainable Hydrogen Production
Methane pyrolysis offers low‐carbon hydrogen with valuable solid carbon coproducts. This review examines life cycle assessment methods, revealing inconsistencies in boundaries, allocation, and impact metrics, and calls for standardized frameworks to improve comparability and reliability.

Revealing Ambipolar Charge Transport in BTBT‐Based D–A–D Molecules via Photo‐MIS‐CELIV Measurements
We report a new family of D–A–D molecules based on BTBT and BTBTOx4 as central π‐conjugated cores. Using photo‐MIS‐CELIV, we measured hole and electron mobilities and investigated the role of molecular structure. BTBTOx4 derivatives show ambipolar behavior and intrinsic p‐doping, while BTBT analogues are unipolar with higher mobility.

Cognitive Theories of Galant Music at the Margins of Experience
ABSTRACT Leading cognitive studies of galant music treat schematism as both a device and an ethos. The devices – whether called pre‐fabs, tiles or schemata – undergird a mechanistic and passive ethos of inventiveness. In vision and practice, this constellation of approaches directs inquiry away from a musical depth that one contemplates and towards a ...
