On the flexural structural behaviour of flexible pipes, umbilicals and marine cables
Marine Structures, 1992Abstract A general analytical model to predict the flexural structural behaviour of multiple layer flexible structures such as flexible pipes, umbilicals and amrine cables is presented. The flexural response of these structures is shown to be dominated by relative movement between component layers once a critical curvature has been exceeded.
