T-line Hernia Mesh Repairs of Large Umbilical Hernias: Technique and Short-term Outcomes
Background:. The T-line hernia mesh is a synthetic, polypropylene mesh specifically designed to prevent anchor point failure by evenly distributing tension through mesh suture extensions. This case series illustrates the first clinical application of the

An isolated umbilical point of a Willmore surface
This paper proves that the index of an isolated umbilic point on a Willmore surface does not exceed 1/2. The author first gives a simple explanation of why we know that there do indeed exist umbilic points on Willmore surfaces with index equal to 1/2 and hence the estimate is sharp.

On the Moser normal form at a non-umbilic point
Any analytic real hypersurface \(M^{2n+1}\) in \(\mathbb{C}^{n+1}\), \(n\geq 1\)with non-degenerate Levi form at a point \(p\) has a normal form relative to certain holomorphic coordinate systems centered at \(p\) [\textit{S. S. Chern} and \textit{J. K. Moser}, Acta math. 133 (1974), 219-271 (1975; Zbl 0302.32015)].

An umbilical point on a non-real-analytic surface
The index of an isolated umbilical point on a surface in three-dimensional Euclidean space is studied. The main attention is paid to the following index conjecture: the index of an isolated umbilical point is not more than one. This conjecture is motivated by studying constant mean curvature surfaces whose isolated umbilical points are always of ...

Degenerate Umbilic Points of Analytic Surfaces
Umbilics are points of a surface embedded in three space where normal curvatures are independent of direction. The (in)famous Carathéodory Conjecture states that a compact simply connected embedded surface has at least two umbilic points. A counterexample to this conjecture would be a surface whose principal foliation has index two at a single umbilic.

CMC-surfaces, flat structures and umbilical points
A short proof of the Caratheodory conjecture about index of an isolated umbilic on the convex 2-dimensional sphere is suggested. The argument is based on the study of geodesic lines near cone-type singularity of a metric induced by holomorphic quadratic differentials.
