Prescribing Inflammatory Bowel Disease Medications in Chronic Kidney Disease: A Practical Guide

Most therapies used in inflammatory bowel disease appear safe and effective when used in chronic kidney disease including on renal replacement therapy, particularly biologic therapies. Some caution should be considered when using conventional therapies and JAK inhibitors.

Sunlight‐Driven, Catalyst‐Free Synthesis of Cyclobutanes by [2 + 2] Cycloaddition of Fluorinated Heterochalconoids in Solution

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 28, Issue 27, July 25, 2025.
Sunlight promotes [2 + 2] cycloaddition of fluorinated derivatives of heterochalconoids in solution to produce cyclobutanes without the need for an external photocatalyst. The reaction output, including regio‐ and stereoselectivity, depends on the heteroaromatic system and the number and position of fluorine atoms.
