Computation of unbalance factors for six-circuit transmission line on the same tower

2011 IEEE Power Engineering and Automation Conference, 2011
The sequence parameters and unbalance factors of six-circuit transmission line with two shield wires on the same tower are computed. Firstly, sequence parameters of six-circuit transmission line are analyzed based on Carson model and image method correspondingly.

Design-oriented analysis on parameters of bidirectional converter based on the unbalance factor

2011 IEEE International Electric Machines & Drives Conference (IEMDC), 2011
With the increasing attention on the operation stability of the high-capacity bidirectional converter, unbalance factor should be taken into account during the design of bidirectional converter system so as to reduce the influence of the power grid unbalance.

The proposal of a new aggregation time interval for calculating the voltage unbalance factor

Electric Power Systems Research, 2012
Abstract When consulting standards that deal with power quality (PQ), it is possible to detect that there are different aggregation time intervals for quantifying voltage unbalance. The choice of the interval to be employed may cause the results of the voltage unbalance factor (VUF) to differ.

Evaluation of voltage unbalance factor for the performance analysis of induction motor

2015 39th National Systems Conference (NSC), 2015
This paper presents the evaluation of Complex Voltage Unbalance Factor (CVUF) on the performance of Induction motor. The assessment of motor performance in terms of copper losses, core loss, power factor, input power, efficiency, etc. are presented. Results show that the effect of phase angle of CVUF should be taken into account while calculating, core

Approximate Algorithm for Fast Calculating Voltage Unbalance Factor of Three-Phase Power System

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, 2014
The method of calculating voltage unbalance factor (VUF) recommended by the IEC61000-4-27 has the disadvantage of requiring square root operation. This paper focuses on the fast and accurate calculation of VUF of three-phase power system. The approximate algorithm for calculating the magnitude of the zero, positive, and negative sequences by simple ...

An Unbalance Between von Willebrand Factor and ADAMTS13 in Acute Liver Failure: Implications for Hemostasis and Clinical Outcome

Hepatology, 2013
Emerging evidence supports the concept of a rebalanced hemostatic state in liver disease as a result of a commensurate decline in prohemostatic and antihemostatic drivers. In the present study, we assessed levels and functionality of the platelet-adhesive protein von Willebrand factor (VWF ...

Influence of balance-unbalance conversion factor on radiated emission characteristics of balanced cables

2001 IEEE EMC International Symposium. Symposium Record. International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (Cat. No.01CH37161), 2002
We investigated LCTL (longitudinal conversion transfer loss) and radiated emission characteristics of a twisted pair wire in UTP (unshielded twisted pair)-category 5 for a few hundred MHz, with unbalance elements inserted to imitate an actual terminal equipment.

Accurate performance assessment of IM with approximate current unbalance factor for NEMA definition

2014 16th International Conference on Harmonics and Quality of Power (ICHQP), 2014
The indices, namely, line voltage unbalance ratio (LVUR) and voltage unbalance factor (VUF), defined by NEMA and IEC, respectively, were highly recommended amongst the industrial engineers and researchers to quantify the condition of voltage unbalance.

Optimal online charging of plug-in electric vehicles considering voltage unbalance factor

2017 IEEE Power & Energy Society General Meeting, 2017
The worldwide application and grid-to-vehicle charging of plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) are expected to tremendously grow within the next few years. Uncoordinated PEV charging in low voltage (LV) distribution networks can lead to local grid problems such as overloading of transformers and voltage unbalances.
