A power-based fault direction estimation method for active distribution networks
This paper presents a strategy for estimating fault direction in active distribution networks, focusing on the high penetration of distributed energy resources, changing operating conditions, untransposed lines, and unbalanced loads. The proposed strategy

Objective The concern that nonsteroidal anti‐inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may precipitate flares of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) has limited their use in managing musculoskeletal symptoms in those with IBD, but safety data are mixed. Methods This retrospective cohort study included patients with IBD aged at least 18 years from Optum's deidentified ...

Distinction Between Interturn Short-Circuit Faults and Unbalanced Load in Transformers
Transformers are essential in electrical networks, and their failure can lead to the shutdown of a section or the entire grid. This study proposes a combination of techniques for early fault detection, distinguishing between small load imbalances and ...

What Do Large Language Models Know About Materials?
If large language models (LLMs) are to be used inside the material discovery and engineering process, they must be benchmarked for the accurateness of intrinsic material knowledge. The current work introduces 1) a reasoning process through the processing–structure–property–performance chain and 2) a tool for benchmarking knowledge of LLMs concerning ...

Test of PV inverters under unbalanced operation
In the modern renewable energy system, recent years have seen a rise in the share of power being generated through photovoltaic (PV) plants. In the Danish power system, PV plants are mostly integrated in the medium- and low-voltage networks which are ...

An Analysis of the Unbalanced Three Phase Fault in the Transmission Line
In this paper, unbalanced three-phase fault in transmission lines is considered with respect to estimating the state of power system after a fault occurs at different buses. Faults such as a single-line-to-ground (SLG), line-to-line (LL) and double-line-to-ground (DLG) affect the bus system that is connected along with the transmission line.

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.
