Photonic time crystals (PTCs) are systems in which electromagnetic parameters are modulated periodically in time, producing momentum bandgaps via temporal scattering rather than spatial Bragg processes. This review examines the theoretical frameworks, modeling, and computational tools for time‐varying media, and summarizes experimental demonstrations ...

Mapping the “Supply–Demand–Flow” of Ecosystem Services for Ecosystem Management in China
This study develops a “supply–demand–flow” framework clarifies how ecosystem services move between regions by distinguishing potential and actual supply and demand. Using integrated biophysical–socioeconomic modeling, nine services in China were mapped.

Model predictive control strategy for NPC grid‐connected inverters in unbalanced grids
A model predictive control (MPC) strategy for a three‐phase three‐level neutral point clamped (NPC) grid‐connected inverter is discussed. Conventional two‐level inverters are effective when a symmetric fault occurs. But when a three‐phase unbalanced fault occurs, they will generate errors and introduce delay in the power system because of the complex ...

The Importance of Metal‐Organic Framework Linker Atoms for CO2 Reduction: A DFT Study
Using DFT, we examine the role of linker atoms in CO2 reduction on copper‐based metal organic frameworks (Cu MOFs). Our calculations reveal that linker atoms may serve as both CO2 and H‐shuttling sites and suggest linker electrostatics as a descriptor for linker activity. ABSTRACT Although the metal within the secondary building unit of a metal‐organic

Power Quality Improvement for Grid Connected Inverters under Distorted and Unbalanced Grids
A power quality improvement scheme for grid connected inverters, even in the presence of the disturbances in grid voltages due to harmonic distortions and three-phase imbalance, is presented for distributed generation (DG) power systems. The control objective is to force the inverter currents to follow their references with robustness even under ...

Glaucoma, a major cause of blindness, involves retinal ganglion cell (RGC) degeneration. This study shows growth hormone‐releasing hormone receptor (GHRHR) deficiency preserves RGC survival and restores vision, unlike activation which only aids survival.

Depletion of p75NTR in Schwann Cells Driven by Inflammation Mediates Cutaneous Pain in Psoriasis
Psoriasis‐like inflammation induces proliferation and molecular remodeling of cutaneous Schwann cells, marked by reduced p75NTR and increased NGF expression. IL‐17A promotes this process, whereas Schwann cell‐specific p75NTR overexpression alleviates cutaneous pain in vivo.

On the Properties of the Compound Nodal Admittance Matrix of Polyphase Power Systems
Most techniques for power system analysis model the grid by exact electrical circuits. For instance, in power flow study, state estimation, and voltage stability assessment, the use of admittance parameters (i.e., the nodal admittance matrix) and hybrid ...
