Test of PV inverters under unbalanced operations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
In the modern renewable energy system, recent years have seen a rise in the share of power being generated through photovoltaic (PV) plants. In the Danish power system, PV plants are mostly integrated in the medium and low voltage networks which are usually operating under unbalanced conditions.

Operation of the full‐bridge three‐level DC–DC converter in unbalanced bipolar DC microgrids

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2019
As compared to two-wire, unipolar DC microgrids (DCμGs), bipolar DCμGs apply a positive, neutral and negative conductor to increase the power transfer capability while retaining two voltage levels for supplying low- and high-power devices at an ...

Magnetic and Structural Response Tuned by Coexisting Mn Concentration‐Dependent Phases in MnBi2Te4 Thin Film Grown on GaAs(001) by Molecular Beam Epitaxy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The study explores structural and magnetic properties of one of the most recent topological quantum materials (MnBi2Te4). The Mn‐poor structure leads to stacking faults (quintuple layer ‐ QL of Bi2Te3 formation instead of a septuple layer ‐ SL of MnBi2Te4), resulting in a coexistence between weak antiferromagnetism and ferromagnetism.

A Three-Phase Four-Leg Inverter-Based Active Power Filter for Unbalanced Current Compensation Using a Petri Probabilistic Fuzzy Neural Network

open access: yesEnergies, 2017
A three-phase four-leg inverter-based shunt active power filter (APF) is proposed to compensate three-phase unbalanced currents under unbalanced load conditions in grid-connected operation in this study.

The Dynamics of Interfacial Trap States in High‐Detectivity Near‐Infrared Photomultiplication Organic Photodetectors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Photomultiplication organic photodetectors (PM OPDs) are an attractive strategy for health‐monitoring. Here, PM‐OPDs are reported with a specific detectivity of 5.7 × 1012 Jones and external quantum efficiency values of 3500% under −10 V. The dynamics of carrier trapping in these devices are elucidated through trap selective spectroscopical techniques.

Synchronized Electro‐Chromo‐Emissive Devices Using a Mixed Ionic‐Electronic Conductive Layer for XR Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A single cell type Electro‐chromo‐emissive (ECECL) device integrating synchronized electrochromic (EC) and electrochemiluminescent (ECL) functions is developed using a mixed ionic‐electronic conductor (MIEC). A MIEC layer reduces ionic/electronic resistance, enabling ultrafast switching and enhanced optical contrast.

Synthetic Nanobiology Actuated Lipometabolic Cell Factory for Autologous Tumor Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
FA plays a crucial role in the interaction between tumor cells and the tumor microenvironment, especially for the immune response. A biocatalytic immunoenhancement strategy is developed to boost antitumor immunity by FA metabolic orientation to ceramide. Through the design of this delicate catalytic immunoenhancement strategy, the synthetic nanobiology
