Transverse tripolar spinal cord stimulation: Theoretical performance of a dual channel system [PDF]
A new approach to spinal cord stimulation is presented, by which several serious problems of conventional methods can be solved. A transverse tripolar electrode with a dual-channel voltage stimulator is evaluated theoretically by means of a volume ...

Voltage unbalanced compensation using dynamic voltage restorer based on supercapacitor
Abstract This paper presents the analysis and design of a three phase four wire Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) based on supercapacitor as energy storage for power quality improvement in electrical distribution system. The proposed system comprises of a supercapacitor as energy storage, DC–DC converter, and the power circuit of the DVR.

Voltage Support Control Strategies for Static Synchronous Compensators Under Unbalanced Voltage Sags
Static synchronous compensators have been broadly employed for the provision of electrical ac network services, which include voltage regulation, network balance, and stability improvement. Several studies of such compensators have also been conducted to improve the ac network operation during unbal- anced voltage sags.

Compensation of Distribution System Voltage using DVR [PDF]
A dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) is a power-electronic controller that can protect sensitive loads from disturbances in the supply system. In this paper, it is demonstrated that this device can tightly regulate the voltage at the load terminal against ...

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Dependence of chaotic behavior on optical properties and electrostatic effects in double beam torsional Casimir actuation [PDF]
We investigate the influence of Casimir and electrostatic torques on double beam torsional microelectromechanical systems with materials covering a broad range of conductivities of more than three orders of magnitude.

Mechanisms of IgE‐mediated food allergy and the role of allergen‐specific B cells
Food allergy arises when allergen‐specific B cells preferentially produce immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies against harmless foods. This article explains the mechanisms driving IgE‐mediated reactions, highlights the central role of these B cells, and discusses how natural tolerance (NT) and oral immunotherapy (OIT) can reshape allergic immune responses.
