During host recognition, the fibers of T7 bacteriophages transition from a capsid bound state to an extended conformation, which requires some level of fiber flexibility. By using high‐speed atomic force microscopy, we show that the fibers have an internal molecular hinge and a torsionally compliant coiled‐coil region.

Support‐Mediated Reversible Redox Dynamics of Pt and Au on CeO2 at Room Temperature
Atomic‐resolution in situ electron microscopy reveals reversible room‐temperature redox cycling of Pt and Au on CeO2, driven by oxygen‐vacancy‐mediated spillover chemistry. Pt undergoes complete oxidation and reversible wetting–dewetting restructuring with enhanced dispersion, whereas Au shows self‐limiting surface oxidation, highlighting metal ...

Shared Principles of Individuation Underpin Object–Event Correspondences Cross‐Linguistically
Abstract Entities in both the spatial and the temporal domains are characterized by a shared notion of individuation. Within the spatial domain, objects (e.g., table, ball) are discrete, countable mental individuals, and are distinct from unindividuated substances (e.g., sand, water).
