Predictive Amphiphile Design Enables Control of Self‐Assembled Nanoparticle‐Cell Membrane Interactions

The interactions of self‐assembled nanocarriers with cell membranes are programmable through amphiphile design. We identify how head and tail chemistry govern distinct interaction mechanisms and introduce ΔGtransfer, a unified thermodynamic descriptor that predicts nanoparticle behaviour from simple molecular simulations.

Exposure to 305 nm PP NPs significantly disrupts the airway barrier‐on‐chip, reducing TEER, suppressing ZO‐1/ACE2 expression, and triggering ROS‐mediated apoptosis.
