In this paper we give an existence result for a class of variational-hemivariational inequality on unbounded domain using the mountain pass theorem and the principle of symmetric criticality for Motreanu-Panagiotopoulos type functionals.

Hardy's inequality in unbounded domains
Let \(\Omega\) be a domain in \(\mathbb R^N\) \((N \geq 3)\) with non-empty boundary \(\partial \Omega\) and let \(\delta (x) : = \text{ dist} (x, \partial \Omega)\), \(x \in \mathbb R^N\). Denote by \(D^{1, 2}_{\varepsilon} (\Omega)\) the completion of \(D (\Omega)\) with respect to the inner product \((u, v) := \int_{\Omega} \delta^{\varepsilon ...

Positive polynomials on unbounded domains
Certificates of non-negativity such as Putinar's Positivstellensatz have been used to obtain powerful numerical techniques to solve polynomial optimization (PO) problems. Putinar's certificate uses sum-of-squares (sos) polynomials to certify the non-negativity of a given polynomial over a domain defined by polynomial inequalities.

A Colloidal Quantum Dot Thermistor and Bolometer
This work introduces colloidal quantum dot thermistors employing a potential barrier structure to tune the activation energy of transport and hence the temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR). Upon integration with plasmonic absorbers, the CQD‐based bolometer device enables room‐temperature wavelength‐selective photodetection across the mid‐ to ...

In this article, we consider the asymptotic behavior of solutions for the Kirchhoff-type reaction–diffusion equations driven by a nonlinear colored noise defined on unbounded domains. We prove the existence and uniqueness of pullback random attractors by

Stochastic modulation equations on unbounded domains
We study the impact of small additive space-time white noise on nonlinear stochastic partial differential equations (SPDEs) on unbounded domains close to a bifurcation, where an infinite band of eigenvalues changes stability due to the unboundedness of the underlying domain.

On the second eigenvalue of a Hardy-Sobolev operator
In this note, we study the variational characterization and some properties of the second smallest eigenvalue of the Hardy-Sobolev operator $L_{mu}:=-Delta_{p}-frac{mu}{|x|^p}$ with respect to an indefinite weight $V(x)$.

Dynamical Behavior of the Fractional BBMB Equation on Unbounded Domain
The fractional-order Benjamin-Bona-Mahony-Burgers (BBMB) equation is a generalization of the classical BBMB equation. It’s dynamic behaviors is much more complex than that of the corresponding integer-order BBMB equation.
