Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.

Perfect regulation with cheap control for uncertain linear systems: a Riccati equation approach

open access: yesIET Control Theory & Applications, 2008
A robust linear quadratic regulation problem with cheap control is studied for a class of uncertain systems with norm-bounded uncertainty or integral quadratic constraint uncertainty. A Riccati equation approach is employed as a tool to investigate the limiting case in which a scalar weighting coefficient on the control input in the quadratic cost ...

Age‐Related Characteristics of SYT1‐Associated Neurodevelopmental Disorder

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives We describe the clinical manifestations and developmental abilities of individuals with SYT1‐associated neurodevelopmental disorder (Baker‐Gordon syndrome) from infancy to adulthood. We further describe the neuroradiological and electrophysiological characteristics of the condition at different ages, and explore the associations ...

An exact minimum variance filter for a class of discrete time systems with random parameter perturbations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
An exact, closed-form minimum variance filter is designed for a class of discrete time uncertain systems which allows for both multiplicative and additive noise sources.

ALS With and Without Upper Motor Neuron Signs: A Comparative Study Supporting the Gold Coast Criteria

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective The Gold Coast criteria permit diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) even without upper motor neuron (UMN) signs. However, whether ALS patients with UMN signs (ALSwUMN) and those without (ALSwoUMN) share similar characteristics and prognoses remains unclear.

Variational Bayesian Iterative Estimation Algorithm for Linear Difference Equation Systems

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
Many basic laws of physics or chemistry can be written in the form of differential equations. With the development of digital signals and computer technology, the research on discrete models has received more and more attention.

Feynman-Kac representation of fully nonlinear PDEs and applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The classical Feynman-Kac formula states the connection between linear parabolic partial differential equations (PDEs), like the heat equation, and expectation of stochastic processes driven by Brownian motion.

Whole‐Body Pattern of Muscle Degeneration and Progression in Sarcoglycanopathies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To characterize whole‐body intramuscular fat distribution pattern in patients with sarcoglycanopathies and explore correlations with disease severity, duration and age at onset. Methods Retrospective, cross‐sectional, multicentric study enrolling patients with variants in one of the four sarcoglycan genes who underwent whole‐body ...

Fixed-Point Iteration Method for Uncertain Parameters in Dynamic Response of Systems with Viscoelastic Elements

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The paper presents a method for determining the dynamic response of systems containing viscoelastic damping elements with uncertain design parameters. A viscoelastic material is characterized using classical and fractional rheological models.

A Comparative Review of the Fuzzy, Intuitionistic and Neutrosophic Numbers in Solving Uncertainty Matrix Equations [PDF]

open access: yesNeutrosophic Sets and Systems
Matrix equations play a fundamental role in scientific and engineering applications, including linear systems, optimization, and computational modeling. Common types of matrix equations, such as Sylvester, Lyapunov, and Riccati equations, are widely used
