predictive role of emotional dysregulation, repetitive negative thinking, intolerance of uncertainty and experiential avoidance in positive and negative perfectionism [PDF]
Introduction: perfectionism is a transdiagnostic factor and prevalent phenomenon in many psychological disorders. Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the role of emotion dysregulation, repetitive negative thoughts, intolerance of ...

Temporal Dynamics of Uncertainty Cause Anxiety and Avoidance
Alfred Hitchcock, film director and “Master of Suspense,” observed that terror is not driven by a negative event, but “only in the anticipation of it.” This observation is not restricted to the movies: Anxiety builds when we anticipate uncertain negative events, and heightened reactivity during uncertain threat anticipation is a transdiagnostic marker ...

Prospect Theory around the World [PDF]
We present results from the first large-scale international survey on risk preferences, conducted in 45 countries. We show substantial cross-country differences in risk aversion, loss aversion and probability weighting.

Do scenario context and question order influence WTP? The application of a model of uncertain WTP to the CV of the morbidity impacts of air pollution [PDF]
This paper presents a general framework for modelling responses to contingent valuation questions when respondents are uncertain about their ‘true’ WTP.

The thermal diffusivity of MgO‐C refractories is highly sensitive to sample preparation and processing procedures. In this article, the effects of coking sequence, machining conditions, structural inhomogeneity, and graphite coating application on measurements using laser flash apparatus are systematically investigated.

Additive Gaussian Process Regression for Predictive Design of High‐Performance, Printable Silicones
A chemistry‐aware design framework for tuning printable polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) for vat photopolymerization (VPP) is developed using additive Gaussian process (GP) modeling. Polymer network mechanics informs variable groupings, feasible formulation constraints, and interaction variables.

Surface Tension Measurement of Ti‐6Al‐4V by Falling Droplet Method in Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere
In this article, the temperature‐dependent surface tension of free falling, oscillating Ti‐6Al‐4V droplets is investigated in both argon and monosilane doped, oxygen‐free atmosphere. Droplet temperature and oscillation are captured with one single high‐speed camera, and the surface tension is calculated with Rayleigh's formula.
