LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Equity Warrants Pricing Formula for Uncertain Financial Market

open access: yesMathematical and Computational Applications, 2022
In this paper, inside the system of uncertainty theory, the valuation of equity warrants is explored. Different from the strategies of probability theory, the valuation problem of equity warrants is unraveled by utilizing the strategy of uncertain ...

On the Minimal Length Uncertainty Relation and the Foundations of String Theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We review our work on the minimal length uncertainty relation as suggested by perturbative string theory. We discuss simple phenomenological implications of the minimal length uncertainty relation and then argue that the combination of the principles of ...

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

ON ℐ2 AND ℐ ˚ 2 -CONVERGENCE IN ALMOST SURELY OF COMPLEX UNCERTAIN DOUBLE SEQUENCES

open access: yesПроблемы анализа, 2023
In this study, we investigate the notions of ℐ2-convergence almost surely (a.s.) and ℐ^* 2 -convergence a.s. of complex uncertain double sequences in an uncertainty space, and obtain some of their features and identify the relationships between them. In

Research on the Factors Influencing Tourism Revenue of Shandong Province in China Based on Uncertain Regression Analysis

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
According to the analysis of historical tourism data, it was found that tourism revenue is influenced by multiple factors, and there exists a linear relationship between these factors and tourism revenue. Therefore, this paper employs a linear regression

Correlation of the differential expression of PIK3R1 and its spliced variant, p55α, in pan‐cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PIK3R1 undergoes alternative splicing to generate the isoforms, p85α and p55α. By combining large patient datasets with laboratory experiments, we show that PIK3R1 spliced variants shape cancer behavior. While tumors lose the protective p85α isoform, p55α is overexpressed, changes linked to poorer survival and more pronounced in African American ...

Robust Total Least Squares Estimation Method for Uncertain Linear Regression Model

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
In data analysis and modeling, least squares and total least squares are both mathematical optimization techniques. It is noteworthy that both the least squares method and the total least squares method are used to deal with precise and random data ...

Uncertainty Relation Revisited from Quantum Estimation Theory

open access: yes, 2011
By invoking quantum estimation theory we formulate bounds of errors in quantum measurement for arbitrary quantum states and observables in a finite-dimensional Hilbert space.
