Sustainable Pd‐Catalyzed Aminations “on Dirty Water”

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
Aminations, done safely yet neat, and therefore, quickly, using low levels of Pd, in “dirty water” that must contain 30% KOH; not NaOH, and not at 5%,10%, 20%, 40%, or 50% KOH. Moreover, no base sensitivity of functional groups! Very cool. Thank you, Nature.

Induced eddy currents characteristics of coal gangue-based functional concrete in compression process

open access: yesMeitan kexue jishu
Coal gangue-based cemented structures (CGCS) have been widely used in underground engineering. Due to the complex environment and limited space, there is still no effective method to monitor structural health in under-ground engineering.

SHPB Test and Microstructure Analysis on Ready-Mixed Concrete in Uniaxial Load and Passive Confining Pressure States

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2019
Ready-mixed concrete has been used as a support in mine roadways, where the impact load of blasting excavation can cause damage to the concrete support of the roadway. However, limited studies are available on the effect of water content, storage period,

A New Paradigm for Understanding the Rheology and Processability of Poly(p‐Phenylene Terephthalamide) Liquid‐Crystalline Solutions

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
Kevlar is traditionally modeled as a rigid‐rod polymer, yet rheological behavior deviates from this assumption. The review introduces a novel “twist‐tie” entanglement theory for aramid polymer chains in the nematic liquid crystal state, providing a molecular explanation for deviations from rigid‐rod models. Understanding twist‐tie entanglement dynamics

Experimental and simulation studies on damage characteristics, crack development patterns, and strength reduction mechanisms of sandstone under laser irradiation

open access: yesGeomechanics and Geophysics for Geo-Energy and Geo-Resources
In order to explore the damage characteristics and crack development laws of hard rock under laser irradiation, laser irradiation experiments on sandstone were conducted considering the interaction of three laser parameters: spot diameter, laser power ...

Analysis on Energy-saving Lighting Design of the Underground Construction

open access: yes, 2012
oai:ojs.wcj.usp-pl.com:article/25There are often no windows and lack of natural light in the most of underground space, so lighting design is the most basic for most underground architectural design.

Underground houses - systematic approach toward underground construction of living space

open access: yes, 2020
The urgent need for energy consumption reduction and trends of global warming leads toward exploring possibilities to “hide” living space from explosion to climate changes as a result of global warming.

Redescription of the Triassic cynodont Cistecynodon parvus and reassessment of its phylogeny

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Cynodontia is an important subclade of Therapsida that first occurred in the late Permian. It includes extinct subclades which are the non‐mammaliaform cynodonts and Mammaliaformes, with the latter ultimately giving rise to crown mammals. The systematics of non‐mammaliaform cynodonts has been extensively studied and is relatively well‐resolved,
