Open Innovation for Circular Business Models: Addressing the Right Challenge at the Right Time

open access: yesJournal of Product Innovation Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Academic Summary In response to escalating societal challenges, such as climate change and resource constraints, this article examines the transition from linear toward circular business models (CBMs). It explores the challenges of CBM transitions and how to tackle them through open innovation.

Phosphorus addition shifts elevated CO2 effects on soil respiration from rhizosphere to root pathways in a mature eucalypt woodland

open access: yesNew Phytologist, EarlyView.
Summary diagram of the utilization of additional carbohydrates fixed under elevated CO2 belowground in natural low‐phosphorus (P) (a) and P‐fertilized (b) conditions. Soil respiration consists of heterotrophic respiration from microbial activity in bulk soil, autotrophic respiration from fine‐root activity and rhizomicrobial respiration driven by ...

Plant genotypic diversity and defoliation jointly shape root exudation, fungal communities, and carbon and nitrogen cycling

open access: yesNew Phytologist, EarlyView.
Experimental design. Summary Intraspecific plant diversity is a major component of community diversity, yet its role in shaping plant–microbial interactions and soil functioning remains poorly understood. In particular, plant genotypic diversity may modulate ecosystem responses to defoliation, a key driver of ecosystem processes in grazed systems.

Restored wetlands: interplay between environmental variables, aboveground and belowground plant traits, and carbon cycling

open access: yesNew Phytologist, EarlyView.
Assessing relationships between environmental conditions, aboveground and belowground plant traits, and carbon cycling in restored wetlands (grazed and ungrazed), compared to a baseline in near‐natural wetlands in Denmark, revealed that ecosystem functions can be restored, even in cases where plant biodiversity has not recovered.

GmDOF3.1‐GmCPX Module Regulates Nodulation and Nitrogen Fixation Abilities in Soybean

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Soybean nodule nitrogen fixation is very important, which can provide a large amount of nitrogen supply for its own growth and that of other crops, but the mechanism is largely unclear. In the present study, a coproporphyrinogen oxidase gene, GmCPX, was identified to facilitate soybean nodulation and nitrogen‐fixation under the regulation of ...
