Bombus terrestris and Apis mellifera colonies sharing the same landscape (<50 m from each other) collected pollen with significantly different heavy metal concentrations. B. terrestris‐collected pollen contained 2–7× higher concentrations of arsenic, chromium, cobalt, lead and tin than A. mellifera‐collected pollen.

Delivering Sulfate to LNAPL Body for Enhanced Source Zone Depletion (ESZD)
Abstract This field pilot study evaluates the feasibility of applying sulfate to a light non‐aqueous phase liquid (LNAPL) body for achieving enhanced source zone depletion (ESZD) at a refinery site. Two rounds of gypsum land application (GLA) delivered sulfate to an 8000 ft2 area encompassing LNAPL‐containing monitoring wells MW‐2 and MW‐3, while MW‐1 ...

Seasonal variation in preen gland secretions of Tristram's Storm Petrel (Hydrobates tristrami)
Preen gland secretions are known to vary depending on sex, season and species and are thought to play essential roles in avian life history. However, their chemical composition and functions remain largely unclear in Procellariiform seabirds with well‐developed olfactory senses. Storm petrels, known for their distinctive body odour, may use preen gland

Asymmetric Pass‐Through and Competition
ABSTRACT We study the retail price pass‐through of four major tax changes in petroleum products using daily pricing data from gas stations on small Greek islands. We find that (i) the pass‐through of the tax hikes is five times higher than for the tax decrease, (ii) the pass‐through of the tax hikes increases with competition, while that of the tax ...
