Retroactive Liability and Future Risk: The Optimal Regulation of Underground Storage Tanks [PDF]
The optimal design of environmental liability policy focuses on two primary policy issues: the cleanup of existing sources of pollution and the definition and enforcement of policies to promote prospectively efficient environmental risk reduction ...

Deterministic Cost Estimation Approaches for Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage: A Review
ABSTRACT Carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) is regarded as a connection between traditional, high‐emission sectors and future green energy. This study encompasses literature from 2003 to early 2026 to review methodologies and formulae used for cost estimating in the various segments of carbon capture, transport, utilization, and storage ...

ABSTRACT Legacy wells represent a critical consideration for offshore CO2 storage projects, as they may provide potential pathways for fluid or gas migration if poorly constructed, undocumented or inadequately abandoned. Systematically assessing large numbers of legacy wells remains challenging due to heterogeneous data availability and the diversity ...

Synthesis of USP Grade [2,3,7‐13C3]‐Nicotinamide for Human Pharmacokinetic Studies
We prepared a 17.8‐g quantity of [2,3,7‐13C3]‐nicotinamide in five synthetic steps, with a 42% overall yield, and purified it to > 99% homogeneity, meeting USP standards for oral pharmaceutical dosing. This material is intended for tracking the movement and metabolism of nicotinamide through the human body.

ABSTRACT High‐yield photocatalytic H2O2 production in sacrificial agent‐free pure water constitutes a critical bottleneck requiring urgent advances in energy catalysis. Although ZnIn2S4 (ZIS) exhibits favourable visible light absorption, it is plagued by severe bulk charge carrier recombination and scarce accessible surface‐active sites.

ABSTRACT As a crucial puzzle piece of deep space exploration, exploring small bodies can provide significant scientific insights and valuable mineral resources. Unlike missions to the Moon and Mars, small‐body missions pose distinct technical challenges, including communication delays, weak gravity, and uncertain environments. This paper reviews a full

Mining Impacts on a Threatened and Burnt Swamp Ecosystem: Responses of the Microbial Soil Community
The evaluation of microbial communities and soil chemistry of three mined and three unmined swamps in the burnt southeastern Australia suggested that mining activities led to changes in the microbial community structure and functionality. This figure incorporates symbols sourced from BioRender and was created with BioRender.com.
