Comparison of the protein in axillary bud tubers and underground stolon tubers in potato

American Potato Journal, 1982
To determine if axillary leaf bud tubers can be used to study tuber protein synthesis in potato we have compared the proteins in axillary bud tubers with those in underground stolon tubers in the variety Superior. By SDS polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and by electrophoresis in nondenaturing polyacrylamide gels at pH 8.6, the proteins in axillary ...

Mulch and planting depth influence potato canopy development, underground morphology, and tuber yield

Field Crops Research, 2016
Abstract The response of potato (Solanum tuberosum cv Haryeong) to mulching and different planting depths was evaluated during 2010–2013. Two different plastic mulches, black and clear polyethylene (PE) were compared with the unmulched control and seed tubers were planted at 5-, 10-, 15-, and 20-cm depths in each treatment.
