Complex pupil retrieval with undersampled data

Journal of the Optical Society of America A, 2009
The ability to retrieve the complex-valued, generalized pupil function of an imaging system from undersampled measurements of the defocused system point spread function (PSF) is examined through numerical simulations. The ability to do so degrades as the detector pixel pitch increases when using a fixed number of PSF measurements.

Motion sensitivity and spatial undersampling in amblyopia

Vision Research, 1993
The nature of the visual deficit in human amblyopia has been keenly sought over the last decade. Some confusion has arisen as to whether the motion-sensitive mechanisms known to exist in normal vision are selectively affected in humans with amblyopia.

Reconstruction Algorithms in Undersampled AFM Imaging

IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Signal Processing, 2016
This paper provides a study of spatial undersampling in atomic force microscopy (AFM) imaging followed by different image reconstruction techniques based on sparse approximation as well as interpolation. The main reasons for using undersampling is that it reduces the path length and thereby the scanning time as well as the amount of interaction between

Gabor transform with undersampling

Proceedings of Third International Symposium on Time-Frequency and Time-Scale Analysis (TFTS-96), 2002
We investigate discrete Gabor transforms with undersampling. For an undersampled Gabor triple (g,a,b) (i.e.,a.b>N), we show that the associated generalized dual Gabor wavelet is the same as the one associated to (g,b/spl tilde/,a/spl tilde/), except for the redundancy constant factor.

Analog DFT using an undersampling technique

IEEE Design & Test of Computers, 1999
This article presents a novel approach to analog design for test (DFT). The approach is based on wideband undersampling techniques using multiple samplers on-chip. Using this technique, signals being tested can be mixed down to lower frequencies before being brought off-chip.

Optimization of multisine excitations for receiver undersampling

2010 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing, 2010
An algorithm for optimizing the frequency distribution of an arbitrary multisine signal is presented to reduce the power consumption and computational complexity of a multisine receiver. By careful selection or adjustment of each frequency component in the applied multisine signal, undersampling and frequency aliasing in the receiver can be used to ...
