Multimodal Locomotion in Insect‐Inspired Microrobots: A Review of Strategies for Aerial, Surface, Aquatic, and Interfacial Motion

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This review identifies key design considerations for insect‐inspired microrobots capable of multimodal locomotion. To draw inspiration, biological and robotic strategies for moving in air, on water surfaces, and underwater are examined, along with approaches for crossing the air–water interface.

A Study on Underwater Image Processing Techniques

International Journal of Sensors, Wireless Communications and Control, 2023
Abstract: In recent years, a potential interest has been developed in exploring and enhancing the quality of underwater images. The captured underwater images often experience scattering and high levels of noise due to the properties of light transit within the water and the biotic movement that occurs inside the ocean bottom.

Underwater Image Processing using Hybrid Techniques

2019 1st International Conference on Innovations in Information and Communication Technology (ICIICT), 2019
Underwater imaging is an emerging area of research. The underwater image suffers degradation due to scattering and absorption. To overcome these issues, the acquired images are adjusted using color balance and then corrected using white balance. Common methods available for white balance are Retinex and Gray world.
