Numerical Simulation on Underwater Shock Wave Focusing
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2011Shock wave focusing by an ellipsoidal reflector can produce higher pressure in the focal region. The focusing process of shock wave was studied by theory analyses and numerical results. Base on the experimental observation the shock wave source is equivalent to the explosion of an underwater explosive.

Underwater shock consolidation of Mg–SiC composites
Journal of Materials Science, 2010The shock consolidation of magnesium (Mg)/silicon carbide (SiC) composites using axisymmetric explosive fabrication setup is reported. Pure Mg and SiC powders are consolidated in a three-layered cylindrical assembly with the energy being derived from a high-detonation velocity explosive.

Ship Shock Modeling of Underwater Explosion
Solid State Phenomena, 2011Ship shock tests have been conducted for shock qualification of hull integrity and proper operation systems and subsystems. The ship shock trial identifies design and construction and it also validates shock hardening criteria. The main problem is that ship shock trials are costly.

ROCKET MOTOR DESIGN FOR UNDERWATER SHOCK
Naval Engineers Journal, 1988ABSTRACTNaval ships and equipment are designed to survive underwater shock. The underwater shock can result from a nearby explosion of a bomb or missile, or the underwater detonation of a nuclear weapon. The shock wave travels through the water and applies an impulsive pressure load to the ship. The ship responds by a sudden acceleration in a direction

Metal Pipe Forming Using Underwater Shock Wave
Emerging Technologies in Fluids, Structures and Fluid Structure Interactions: Volume 1, Fluid Dynamics, Fluid Structure Interaction, and High Explosive Detonation, 2002Recently, many metal pipes have been manufactured and used as various mechanical parts. Cross section of these parts has circular and oval shape. And then, a lot of kinds, but a small quantity production of these metal pipe increases. However, commonly, very expensive metal die are used in that case.

Laser-induced plasma shock wave propagation underwater
Optik, 2013Abstract By means of a high-sensitive optical beam deflection technique (OBD), the evolution of laser-induced plasma shock wave propagation in water is investigated in detail. The results provide the formation and development of laser-induced plasma shock waves.
