Enhancing the Ultrasonic Welding of Wood Using 3D Printed Lignin Energy Directors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 15, 13 March 2026.
Sustainable manufacturing for lightweight structures using ecofriendly materials will be key to reducing material consumption and lowering carbon footprints. Here, an approach is presented to weld wood using ultrasonic vibrations with material at the joint interface to direct energy.

Monolithic 3D Printing of Origami‐Inspired Soft Robotics from Sustainable Bio‐Based Resin

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 15, 13 March 2026.
This work develops a photocurable, bio‐based resin from soybean oil for the monolithic fabrication of sustainable soft robots via Digital Light Processing. An origami‐inspired, vacuum‐actuated soft gripper is designed and fabricated, enabling reliable operation despite the material's lower elongation.

Neki aspekti projektiranja i gradnje velikih plutajućih aerodroma [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Iznimno veliko povećanje cijene zemlje u blizini velikih obalnih gradova rezultiralo je pojavom velikih plutajućih aerodroma koji predstavljaju jedinstvenu i složenu pučinsku komponentu transportnog sustava.

Effects of arc bubble behaviors and characteristics on droplet transfer in underwater wet welding using in-situ imaging method

open access: yesMaterials & Design, 2019
The effects of arc bubble behaviors and characteristics on droplet transfer are observed with an in-situ X-ray imaging method. The changes in the force acting on the droplet are analyzed at three distinct stages of arc bubble in one life cycle.

Large‐Scale Submarine Sediment Waves at Macauley Caldera Volcano: In Situ Evidence of High‐Flux, Syn‐Eruptive Submarine Transport

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, Volume 27, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract Two sediment cores were collected from a submarine sediment wave field on the flank of Macauley volcano. Combined with seismic reflection surveys and numerical modeling, we present an integrated model of the formation of large‐scale, eruption‐fed, submarine sediment waves. The sediment waves are large (>100 m high, 1.5 km wide, tens of km long)
