Kecepatan lari dipegaruhi panjang langkah dan frekuensi langkah. Kedua hal tersebut dipengaruhi beberapa karakteristik antropometri seperti berat badan, tinggi badan, panjang tungkai, serta kekuatan otot tungkai.
