Definition of the Local Geoid Undulation Using Non-contemporary GNSS-Levelling Data on Subsidence Area: Application on the Adriatic Coastline [PDF]
AbstractThe knowledge of the so-called geoid undulation, which represents the height of the geoid above a reference ellipsoid, is a fundamental step to link ellipsoidal heights measured using satellite systems and orthometric heights. Several geoid models are available at the time both at the national or global scale, which can be used for the purpose.

Global geoid adjustment on local area for GIS applications using GNSS permanent station coordinates
Orthometric heights, useful for many engineering and geoscience applications, can be obtained by GPS (Global Positioning System) surveys only when an accurate geoid undulation model (that supplies the vertical separation between the geoid and WGS84 ...

Interpretation of geoid anomalies in the contact zone between the East European Craton and the Palaeozoic Platform-I. Estimation of effects of density inhomogeneities in the crust on geoid undulations [PDF]
SUMMARY In our paper, we compile a detailed 3-D velocity model of the crust for the territory of Poland and investigate the effect of a 3-D density distribution in the crust on geoid undulations. The major tectonic feature in the study area is the Trans European Suture Zone (TESZ) separating the Precambrian East European Craton from younger tectonic

The study was aimed at developing a geoid model using Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technology. To accomplish this, a UAV was deployed to capture imagery of the study area from a height of 150m, with a ground resolution of 4.19cm. A total of 3737 images were obtained, covering an area of 725.804 hectares.

Free-Air Gravity Map of Taiwan and Its Applications
An island-wide gravity in Taiwan was conducted by the Institute of Earth Sciences, Academia Sinica, between 1980 and 1987. The 603 stations at which the gravity values were determined included 308 points in the 500 m or higher mountain range where few ...

Comparison of the geoid undulations obtained by EGM96, TG99 and GPS/leveling in Turkey
The EGM96 geopotential model has been developed by NASA, NIMA and Ohio State University. By means of this model, the geoid undulation of a point can be calculated if its latitude and longitude are known in WGS84 datum. A local geoid solution TG99 for Turkey has been developed by the General Command of Mapping in order to obtain orthometric height from ...

Optimal biased Kriging: Homeogram tapering and applications to geoid undulations in Korea
This article studies the Optimal Biased Kriging (OBK) approach which is an alternative geostatistical method that gives up the unbiasedness condition of Ordinary Kriging (OK) to gain an improved Mean Squared Prediction Error (MSPE).
