Basroparib inhibits YAP‐driven cancers by stabilizing angiomotin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Basroparib, a selective tankyrase inhibitor, suppresses Wnt signaling and attenuates YAP‐driven oncogenic programs by stabilizing angiomotin. It promotes AMOT–YAP complex formation, enforces cytoplasmic YAP sequestration, inhibits YAP/TEAD transcription, and sensitizes YAP‐active cancers, including KRAS‐mutant colorectal cancer, to MEK inhibition.

Overcoming ecological feedbacks in seagrass restoration

open access: yesRestoration Ecology
Overcoming ecological feedbacks is a major limiting factor reducing the success of many seagrass restoration projects. Negative feedbacks occur when biotic or abiotic conditions of a site are changed sufficiently after the loss of seagrass to prevent its

Seed germination of seven desert plants and implications for vegetation restoration

open access: yesAoB Plants, 2016
In this paper, we evaluated the seed germination responses of seven desert species to temperature and light and explored the implications for vegetation restoration.

Localizing the latent structure canonical uncertainty: Entropy profiles for hidden Markov models [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Ce rapport concerne l'inférence sur les états de modèles de Markov cachés. Ces modèles se fondent sur des états non observés, qui ont en général une interprétation, dans le contexte d'une application donnée. Ceci rend nécessaire la conception d'outils de

Reconstituting a rainforest patch in southern Benin for the protection of threatened plants [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In a twenty-year effort at Drabo, southern Benin, small remnant forests, young fallow and agricultural fields were linked and rehabilitated to develop a 14 ha forest reserve.

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

Impacts of Invasive Plants on Soil Fungi and Implications for Restoration

open access: yesDiversity and Ecology of Invasive Plants, 2018
Biological plant invasions impact the function and biodiversity of ecosystems across the globe by displacing native plant species and altering the physical and chemical soil environment.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Differential Water Conservation Capacity in Broadleaved and Mixed Forest Restoration in Latosol Soil-Eroded Region, Hainan Province, China

open access: yesPlants
The water conservation capacity of the litter and soil layers of forest ecosystems improves the function of forest ecosystems in conserving soil and water. Plantation restoration plays a key role in preventing soil erosion. In order to evaluate the water
