Genetic, phenotypic, and ecological differentiation indicate a new cryptic and threatened species in the orchid genus Epidendrum from Alcatrazes Island, southeastern Brazil

Epidendrum insularis occurs on the remote Alcatrazes Island in the southeastern Brazilian coast. The description of this new cryptic species was only possible by the joint use of molecular markers, reproductive experiments, flower morphometry, functional traits, and community analysis.

Molecular phylogenetic analysis sheds light on the diversity and evolutionary history of the Neotropical and African Triplophyllum (Tectariaceae)

We used a molecular approach to resolve the evolutionary lineages of Neotropical Triplophyllum, uncovering that current species circumscriptions are hindered by high morphological homoplasy in indument characters. Contractionary Effects of Devaluation and the Balance Sheet Effect in a Macroeconomic Model With Heterogeneous Firms

ABSTRACT We propose a demand‐led heterogeneous firm macroeconomic model to study the impact of an exchange rate devaluation on output and financial stability. We simulate the model and find that, in the presence of foreign debt, a devaluation can have contractionary effects.
