The study of soil mechanical capability of different mines for using in forest road pavement [PDF]
The use of appropriate building materials for forest road pavement has the important role in deceasing the forest road repair and maintenance. According to the role of forest mines for procurement of building material, awareness of their mechanical ...

Unifying Optimization Methods for Color Filter Design
Through optimization we can solve for a filter that when the camera views the world through this filter, it is more colorimetric. Previous work solved for the filter that best satisfied the Luther condition: the camera spectral sensitivities after filtering were approximately a linear transform from the CIE XYZ color matching functions.

Unified primal-dual active set method for dynamic frictional contact problems
In this paper, we propose a semi-smooth Newton method and a primal-dual active set strategy to solve dynamical contact problems with friction. The conditions of contact with Coulomb’s friction can be formulated in the form of a fixed point problem ...

Integrating Formal Methods by Unifying Abstractions [PDF]
Integrating formal methods enhances their power as an intellectual tool in modelling and design. This holds regardless of automation, but a fortiori if software tools are conceived in an integrated framework.

Performance monitoring of MPC based on dynamic principal component analysis
A unified framework based on the dynamic principal component analysis (PCA) is proposed for performance monitoring of constrained multi-variable model predictive control (MPC) systems.

Unified dark fluid with fast transition: including entropic perturbations
In this paper, we investigate a unified dark fluid model with fast transition and entropic perturbations. An effective sound speed is designated as an additional free model parameter when the entropic perturbations are included, and if the entropic ...
