Unified Modeling Language for Knowledge Modelling
International Conference on Computational Intelligence for Modelling, Control and Automation and International Conference on Intelligent Agents, Web Technologies and Internet Commerce (CIMCA-IAWTIC'06), 2006Knowledge modelling techniques are widely adopted for designing knowledge-based systems (KBS) and these systems are important for knowledge management. This paper argues the need and importance of adopting Unified Modeling Language (UML) for knowledge modelling through the profile extension mechanism.

Introduction to the Unified Modeling Language
Proceedings. Technology of Object-Oriented Languages and Systems, TOOLS 25 (Cat. No.97TB100239), 2005The Unified Modeling Language (UML) is emerging as one of the leading new objectoriented analysis and design notations. The UML is a rich language that attempts to provide a standard notation for all aspects of object-oriented system development. This half-day tutorial uses the design of a small system to introduce the key features of the UML.

Mature engineering disciplines are generally characterized by accepted methodical standards for describing all relevant artifacts of their subject matter. Such standards not only enable practitioners to collaborate, but they also contribute to the development of the whole discipline. In 1994, Grady Booch, Jim Rumbaugh, and Ivar Jacobson joined together

OOA metrics for the Unified Modeling Language
Proceedings of the Second Euromicro Conference on Software Maintenance and Reengineering, 2002UML is the emerging standard for expressing OOA/OOD models. New metrics for object oriented analysis models are introduced, and existing ones are adapted to the entities and concepts of UML. In particular, these metrics concern UML use case diagrams and class diagrams used during the OOA phase.

The Unified Modelling Language
2015Throughout this book we have used several kinds of UML diagrams to describe various aspects of the system under consideration. UML is a complex language and it is hard to grasp all the details at the beginning.

On Associations in the Unified Modelling Language
2001Associations between classifiers are among the most fundamental of UML concepts. However, there is considerable room for disagreement concerning what an association is, semantically. These have implications for the modeller because they can result in serious misunderstandings of static structure diagrams; similarly, they have implications for tool ...

The Unified Modeling Language (UML) is the most widely used modeling methods for software. It includes various views and diagrams for different purposes and usages. Now, it is the core technique of Model Driven Architecture. the UML is also used to form conceptual models for various kinds of objectives.

Process modelling to support the Unified Modelling Language
Proceedings Twenty-First Annual International Computer Software and Applications Conference (COMPSAC'97), 2002To resolve the inability to manage the software process, the Software Engineering Institute released the Capability Maturity Model for Software (SW-CMM) for producing software products effectively and efficiently. Meanwhile, the Booch, OMT, and OOSE methods have been unified into the Unified Modelling Language (UML).

UTML: Unified Transaction Modeling Language
Proceedings of the Third International Conference on Web Information Systems Engineering, 2002. WISE 2002., 2003We propose UTML as a high level transaction modeling language to facilitate the complex Web transaction design process. Web transactions may be complex, composed of several sub-transactions and they may access resources with diverse behavior and interfaces like legacy systems and databases. They may also have complex semantics. Thus, transaction design
