Multiplicative designs II. Uniform normal and related structures

open access: yesJournal of Combinatorial Theory, Series A, 1979
AbstractWe continue the study of multiplicative designs concentrating primarily on uniform, normal designs with two replications. A structure result and consequent finiteness theorem is obtained and certain classes are related to symmetric block designs, supplementary difference sets, and three eigenvalue graphs.

Characterizations of strictly convex spaces and proximal uniform normal structure

open access: yes, 2023
We provide a few characterizations of a strictly convex Banach space. Using this we improve the main theorem of [Digar, Abhik; Kosuru, G. Sankara Raju; Cyclic uniform Lipschitzian mappings and proximal uniform normal structure. Ann. Funct. Anal. 13 (2022)].

Forming novel texture and enhancing the formability in Mg–3Al–Zn alloy sheets fabricated by transverse gradient extrusion

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2022
Transverse gradient extrusion (TGE) process was firstly proposed to fabricate Mg–3Al–1Zn (AZ31) alloy sheet, thereby tailoring the strong basal texture of conventional extruded (CE) sheet.

Weak uniform normal structure and iterative fixed points of nonexpansive mappings [PDF]

open access: yesColloquium Mathematicum, 1995
This paper is concerned with weak uniform normal structure and iterative fixed points of nonexpansive mappings. Precisely, in Section 1, we show that the geometrical coefficient \(\beta(X)\) for a Banach space \(X\) recently introduced by \textit{A. Jiménez-Melado} [Bull. Aust. Math. Soc. 46, No.

Uniformly normal structure and uniform non-squareness of Orlicz–Lorentz function spaces endowed with the Orlicz norm

open access: yesAnnals of Functional Analysis, 2021
Characterizations of uniform normal structure and uniform nonsquareness of Orlicz-Lorentz spaces endowed with the Luxemburg norm appeared in [\textit{A. Kamińska} et al., Lect. Notes Pure Appl. Math. 175, 229--238 (1996; Zbl 0856.46015)] and [\textit{P. Foralewski} et al., J. Inequal. Appl. 2013, Paper No. 32, 25 p. (2013; Zbl 1291.46011)].

On Semi-Uniform Kadec-Klee Banach Spaces

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2010
Inspired by the concept of U-spaces introduced by Lau, (1978), we introduced the class of semi-uniform Kadec-Klee spaces, which is a uniform version of semi-Kadec-Klee spaces studied by Vlasov, (1972).

Generalized Zbaganu Constant

open access: yesJournal of Harbin University of Science and Technology, 2017
A new geometric constant C ( )pz( ) X for a Banach space X is introduced ,called the generalizedZbaganu constant. Next,it is shown that the upper and the lower bounds of the constant estimation for any Banach space X.
