Electrophysiological Alterations in the Progression of Parkinson's Disease and the Therapeutic Effect of Tetrabenazine on Rats With Levodopa‐Induced Dyskinesia

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 31, Issue 2, February 2025.
The distinct neural electrophysiological patterns in the PD and LID states. The abnormal functional connectivity and information flow direction in PD state. The cumulative effects of chronic l‐dopa administration on functional connectivity and information flow direction in LID states.

(Anti)symmetric multivariate exponential functions and corresponding Fourier transforms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We define and study symmetrized and antisymmetrized multivariate exponential functions. They are defined as determinants and antideterminants of matrices whose entries are exponential functions of one variable. These functions are eigenfunctions of the Laplace operator on corresponding fundamental domains satisfying certain boundary conditions.

Neural Oscillations in the Somatosensory and Motor Cortex Distinguish Dexmedetomidine‐Induced Anesthesia and Sleep in Rats

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 31, Issue 2, February 2025.
By recording neuronal activity from the primary somatosensory cortex and motor cortex simultaneously, during dexmedetomidine (DEX)‐induced anesthesia or sleep, we investigated the cortical response and oscillation properties across different brain areas.

Approximating the Analytic Fourier Transform with the Discrete Fourier Transform [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
The Fourier transform is approximated over a finite domain using a Riemann sum. This Riemann sum is then expressed in terms of the discrete Fourier transform, which allows the sum to be computed with a fast Fourier transform algorithm more rapidly than via a direct matrix multiplication.

Girdin deficiency causes developmental and epileptic encephalopathy with hippocampal sclerosis and interneuronopathy

open access: yesEpilepsia, Volume 66, Issue 2, Page 599-617, February 2025.
Abstract Objective Loss‐of‐function mutations in the GIRDIN/CCDC88A gene cause developmental epileptic encephalopathy (DEE) in humans. However, its pathogenesis is largely unknown. Global knockout mice of the corresponding orthologous gene (gKOs) have a preweaning lethal phenotype with growth failure, preventing longitudinal analysis.

Discrete fractional Fourier transform: Vandermonde approach [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
Based on the definition of the Fourier transform in terms of the number operator of the quantum harmonic oscillator and in the corresponding definition of the fractional Fourier transform, we have obtained the discrete fractional Fourier transform from the discrete Fourier transform in a completely analogous manner. To achieve this, we have used a very

Myofiber structure, sarcoplasmic reticulum Ca2+ handling, and contractile function after muscle‐damaging exercise in humans

open access: yesPhysiological Reports, Volume 13, Issue 3, February 2025.
Alterations in myofiber Ca2+ handling systems after eccentrically, damaging exercise. Created in https://BioRender.com. Abstract Exercise‐induced muscle damage (EIMD) is characterized by a severe and prolonged decline in force‐generating capacity. However, the precise cellular mechanisms underlying the observed long‐lasting decline in force‐generating ...

Update of the safety assessment of N,N‐bis(2‐hydroxyethyl)alkyl(C8‐C18)amines (FCM No 19) and N,N‐bis(2‐hydroxyethyl)alkyl(C8‐C18)amine hydrochlorides (FCM No 20) for their use in plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food

open access: yesEFSA Journal, Volume 23, Issue 2, February 2025.
Abstract The European Commission asked EFSA to review whether the authorisation of N,N‐bis(2‐hydroxyethyl)alkyl(C8‐C18)amine (FCM No 19) and N,N‐bis(2‐hydroxyethyl)alkyl(C8‐C18)amine hydrochlorides (FCM No 20) is still in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004, as provided for in Article 12(3).

On Fourier re-expansions [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
We study an extension to Fourier transforms of the old problem on absolute convergence of the re-expansion in the sine (cosine) Fourier series of an absolutely convergent cosine (sine) Fourier series. The results are obtained by revealing certain relations between the Fourier transforms and their Hilbert transforms.

Semi-Finite Forms of Bilateral Basic Hypergeometric Series [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2005
We show that several classical bilateral summation and transformation formulas have semi-finite forms. We obtain these semi-finite forms from unilateral summation and transformation formulas. Our method can be applied to derive Ramanujan's $_1\psi_1$ summation, Bailey's $_2\psi_2$ transformations, and Bailey's $_6\psi_6$ summation.
