Prognosis of unipolar depression
Ugeskrift for LægerDepression, a severe illness with variable outcomes, requires prompt intervention to mitigate the risk of exacerbation and suicide. This review finds that psychopharmacological treatment is critical in severe cases. In mild cases, medication’s side effects frequently outweigh the benefits.
