Abstract Let $X$ be an abelian variety over an algebraically closed field $\textbf{k}$ and $f$ a quasi-unipotent automorphism of $X$. When $\textbf{k}$ is the field of complex numbers, Lin, Oguiso, and D.-Q. Zhang provide an explicit formula for the polynomial volume growth of (or equivalently, for the Gelfand–Kirillov dimension of the ...

Abstract We count and give a parametrization of connected components in the space of flags transverse to a given transverse pair in every flag varieties of SO0(p,q)$\operatorname{SO}_0(p,q)$. We compute the effect the involution of the unipotent radical has on those components and, using methods of Dey–Greenberg–Riestenberg, we show that for certain ...

CD168 Identifies Proliferating Pancreatic Islet Cells in Murine and Human
This study identifies CD168 as a conserved surface marker for proliferating β‐cells in mouse, human islets, and pancreatic islet tumors. CD168⁺ cells show high proliferation and low insulin expression. CD168+ cells form mostly uni‐β lineage clones, and some of the clones are multi‐lineage.

Orbital Varieties and Unipotent Representations
Using the notion of a Lagrangian covering, W. Graham and D. Vogan proposed a method of constructing representations from the coadjoint orbits for a complex semisimple Lie group $G$. When the coadjoint orbit $\calO$ is nilpotent, a representation of $G$ is attached to each orbital variety of $\calO$ in this way.

Cohomology of Deligne-Lusztig varieties for unipotent blocks of GL_{h}(k) [PDF]
We study the cohomology of parabolic Deligne-Lusztig varieties associated to unipotent blocks of G L

Abstract Twistor spaces are certain compact complex three‐folds with an additional real fibre bundle structure. We focus here on twistor spaces over P2#P2#P2${\mathbb {P}}^2\#{\mathbb {P}}^2\#{\mathbb {P}}^2$. Such spaces are either small resolutions of double solids or they can be described as modifications of conic bundles.

Arithmetic geometry of character varieties with regular monodromy [PDF]
We count points on a family of smooth character varieties with regular semisimple and regular unipotent monodromies. We show that these varieties are polynomial count and obtain an explicit expression for their E-polynomials using complex ...

Roles of Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation in the Management of Blood Cancers
Haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is an essential method used in the treatment of several haematological, immunological and metabolic disorders in both humans and animal patients. It serves as curative method for both benign and malignant haematological conditions. Blood cancers are haematological malignancies or liquid tumour that affect

Contributions to automorphisms of affine spaces [PDF]
We study aspects of the group G_n of polynomial automorphisms of the affine space A^n, the so-called affine Cremona group. Shafarevich introduced on G_n the structure of an ind-variety, an infinite-dimensional analogon to a (classical) variety.

Acute myocardial infarction is one of the leading causes of death in the world. Owing to the limited regenerative capacity of the heart, the development of therapeutic devices using cell therapy and tissue engineering has gained importance. Preclinical validation of these devices can provide evidence of their safety and efficacy in implantation in ...
