Unique continuation for stochastic heat equations [PDF]

open access: yesESAIM: Control, Optimisation and Calculus of Variations, 2014
We establish a unique continuation property for stochastic heat equations evolving in a bounded domain $G$. Our result shows that the value of the solution can be determined uniquely by means of its value on an arbitrary open subdomain of $G$ at any given positive time constant.

Tracking Health Related Quality of Life From Diagnosis to Follow‐Up Among Australian Children With Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) is one of the most treatable forms of paediatric cancer; however, there is a substantial burden of treatment‐related toxicities (TRTs). In addition, the long‐term changes in children's health‐related quality of life (HRQoL) due to toxic treatments are not well understood.

A unique continuation property for linear elliptic systems and nonresonance problems

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2001
The aim of this paper is to study the existence of solutions for a quasilinear elliptic system where the nonlinear term is a Caratheodory function on a bounded domain of $mathbb{R}^N$, by proving the well known unique continuation property for elliptic ...

Hardy type unique continuation properties for abstract Schrödinger equations and applications

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2019
In this paper, Hardy's uncertainty principle and unique continuation properties of Schrödinger equations with operator potentials in Hilbert space-valued $L^{2}$ classes are obtained.

On the spectral theory for first-order systems without the unique continuation property [PDF]

open access: yesLinear and multilinear algebra, 2019
We consider the differential equation on the real interval when J is a constant, invertible skew-Hermitian matrix and q and w are matrices whose entries are distributions of order zero with q Hermitian and w non-negative. In this situation, it may happen

Bridging the Gap in Neuroblastoma Care: Consensus‐Based Statements With Recommendations for Improved Patient and Caregiver Experiences

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Neuroblastoma's complex, heterogeneous biology poses significant diagnostic and therapeutic challenges, often requiring caregivers to absorb complex information and participate in time‐sensitive decisions. However, caregivers often feel unprepared to evaluate options.

Generic Uniqueness and Continuity of Rationalizable Strategies [PDF]

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2005
For a finite set of actions and a rich set of fundamentals, consider the rationalizable actions on a universal type space, endowed with the usual product topology. (1) Generically, there exists a unique rationalizable action profile. (2) Every model can be approximately embedded in a dominance-solvable model.

Impact of Metastatic Patterns on Survival and Response to Therapy in Neuroblastoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background While the presence of metastases in neuroblastoma (NB) is a well‐established prognostic factor, the clinical significance of dissemination patterns and tumour burden and their impact on response and survival remains poorly understood.

Lecture notes on quantitative unique continuation for solutions of second order elliptic equations [PDF]

open access: yesIAS/Park City Mathematics Series, 2019
In these lectures we present some useful techniques to study quantitative properties of solutions of elliptic PDEs. Our aim is to outline a proof of a recent result on propagation of smallness.

On the problem of unique continuation for the -Laplace equation [PDF]

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis: Theory, Methods & Applications, 2014
We study if two different solutions of the $p$-Laplace equation $$\nabla\cdot(|\nabla u|^{p-2}\nabla u)=0,$$ where ...
